Paul Kobs came up from North Fond du Lac, Sunday afternoon, for a few days visit. You will be sorry if you miss “The Man Trail” shown in six reels at the Rex Sunday night. Landlord Herman Kops of Unity, mingled with his Colby relatives and friends, Saturday. O. A. Wiersig of the town of Hull, left Friday morning for Bonduel, to resume his teaching duties. J. A. Young went to Merrill, Friday. He will teach mathematics in the high school in that city this year. Herman L. Ekern spoke at Wiedenhoeft’s park, Labor Day, for La Follette and the other Progressive candidates. If you appreciate high class moving pictures see them at the Rex Theatre on Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday nights. Miss Sue P. Henry of New Richmond arrived in the city, today, and is visiting with her sister, Mrs. E. L. Wicker. Get your canning pears, while the getting is good, at Fleischmann’s City Bakery & Grocery Store. Fred Grambort Jr. came home from Milwaukee, Saturday evening, for a visit with his parents and young friends. Mrs. Adam Kuentz who was visiting relatives in the southern part of the state, returned home Monday evening. Snowball flour middlings $1.55; Standard middlings $1.30; Bran $1.25; Corn in your own sacks $1.60. At J. E. Lyons & Co.’s Warehouse. Misses Malena and Antonia Grambort, and Elfrieda Bleichroth returned home from Milwaukee, Friday evening. We know everybody enjoys a good five reel roaring comedy like “The Texas Steer” shown at The Rex, Wednesday, Sept. 13th. School opened Tuesday with the following enrollment: First primary, 21; second primary, 25; intermediate, 31; grammar room, 47.
