Arnold Burkhardt was home from Chicago over Sunday. Wm. Burmeister was down from Park Falls on business Monday and Tuesday. Mrs. Chas. P. Tesmer spent several days last week with her sister, Mrs. L. Frasier, at Phillips. Harold Wood left for Almond, Saturday, where he will put in a few weeks in the potato field. A. F. Zillmer and wife of New London, who had been here for a week, left for home last Friday. Mrs. J. T. Selves and son Harry returned Saturday from a week’s visit with Mrs. H. A Bright, at Bright. Miss Lydia Runzheimer, who had been visiting her brothers and sister here, left for home Tuesday morning. John Gierl was down from Park Falls on business last Friday. John is night foreman at the Soo Line roundhouse. Mrs. Frank Sterzinger went to Marshfield, Friday morning, for a couple of days visit with Mrs. Victoria Gustafson. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Barts and two children left for Sheboygan, Saturday morning, where they will spend about three weeks with relatives. Erastus Bowen of Greenwood, and Ed. Kayhardt of Spencer, attended a meeting of the directors of the Colby state bank, on Tuesday last. Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Fancher left for Rochester, Minn., last Thursday, where Mrs. Fancher underwent an operation at the Mayo hospital. W. D. Lamont and his uncle, W. S. Gault, who is visiting here, went to Fifield last Friday for a few days visit with Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Patterson. Kniel VanderBrook, who had been spending a week with his brother-in-law, Anton Van Dreel, and family, left for his home in Appleton last Sunday. Emil Wepfer and family of Park Falls, left for home Saturday after having spent a few days with his brother, William, and family, in the town of Colby. Zbysko’s real name is Cyganiewiez. Take it home and try it on the trombones.
