News: Eidsvold (2 Feb. 1900)
Surnames: Ferdon, McCafferty, Miller, Bridgeman, Clark, Craig, Addegorde ---Source: The Greenwood Gleaner (Greenwood, Clark Co., Wisconsin)2 Feb 1900. EIDSVOLD, Jan, 30. Who said we were not to have winter weather? Robt. Ferdon, who was considerably injured in a recent runaway, is rapidly recovering and will soon be able to resume work. The children in this locality are "whooping it up," with the whooping cough these days. A few severe cases are reported. Mike McCafferty went to Green Bay on Thursday, in response to a telegram informing him of the serious illness of his aged mother. Jeff Miller has rented his farm in the town of Worden and will soon go on the road as salesman for the Parson's Waterproof Linen Co. Mr. Miller is a paralytic and we wish him success in this new undertaking. All right Hemlock, we won't kick any more. Thorp and Stanley are both all right, and if Bridgeman wants more of our little girls for his next year's baby collection, he has our permission to come over and photograph as many as he chooses. James and John Clark came down from the Minnesota lumber woods last week, for a visit with relatives and friends. This is the first time John has been home for several years. Miss Lula Craig has announced her intentions of becoming a music teacher. Miss Craig is an educated and talented young lady, who will, no doubt, make a success of her chosen profession. Miss Rangina Addegorde of Minneapolis, who has been spending the past two weeks with relatives and friends at this place and Stanley, goes to Eau Claire this week, where she will remain a few days under the parental roof before returning to Minneapolis. |
