Mrs. Earl Salter died of coronary thrombosis Tuesday at the Marshfield hospital at the age of 67 years. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby, where the body is now lying in state, Rev. Claude Vander Stoep, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran church of Unity, officiating.

Mrs. Salter, the former Hazel Mortimer, was born in Milwaukee on August 14, 1888, and was married in that city to Earl F. Salter on June 18, 1913. After coming to Unity in 1915, they were employed on a farm owned by J. W. Salter for two years and then farmed two miles southwest of Unity until 1929 when they purchased a farm in the town of Brighton.

Mrs. Salter was a former school clerk of the Maplewood School and was affiliated with the Lady Gray Rebecca Lodge, Eastern Star, Legion Auxiliary and the Brighton Homemakers.

She is survived by her husband, three children, Stewart Salter of Unity, Mrs. William (Doris) Ihlenfeldt of Ottawa Lake, Mich., and Mrs. Ben (Evelyn) Brill of Vancouver, Wash., two brothers and a sister, W. F. Mortimer and Mrs. Arthur J. Huegel of Milwaukee and H. B. Mortimer of Evanston, Ill., and 11 grand children.

A four year old daughter, Garnet, and a brother, Lester Mortimer, preceded her in death.
