Morris Keefe of Neillsville, a former resident of Colby, died last week Wednesday morning in a Neillsville hospital at the age of 45 after being ill two months. Funeral services were held Saturday at Edgar in St. John the Baptist Catholic church, Rev. Oscar Kramer officiating, and burial was made in the Edgar cemetery. Military rites were conducted by members of the Colby V.F.W. post of which the deceased was a member.

Mr. Keefe was born on May 13, 1910, in Edgar and was raised in that community and resided there for many years. A World War II veteran, he was a partner in a tavern business in Neillsville.

Surviving are a son, Patrick Keefe, who is in the Marine Corps in California, his former wife, Mrs. Wanda Keefe of Colby, three brothers, Harold Keefe of Shorewood, Martin Keefe of Wausau and Henry Keefe of Edgar, and two sisters, Mrs. Edward Doner of Ludington, Mich., and Mrs. Henry Gellendin of Menomonie Falls.
