Surnames: Kuenzi, Bell, Schraufnagel, Hoffman, Fults, Amacher, Paynter, Bogaard ---Source: ABBOTSFORD TRIBUNE (Abbotsford, Clark Co., WI) 5 April 1934 SUPPER ATTENDED BY 45 WEDNESDAY About 45 men attended the supper and business meeting of the Abbotsford Commercial Club Wednesday evening at 6:30. Nine members of the high school basket ball team were guests of honor at the banquet. After an appetizing supper the meeting was called to order by Walter Kuenzi, president of the club. After reading the minutes of the last meeting, new business was proposed. The matter of a market day was brought up for consideration. A committee, comprising, Frank Bell, Elmer Schraufnagel, C. W. Hoffman, Walter Fults and H. J. Amacher was appointed to investigate the matter and report their findings at the next meeting. The question of band concerts this summer was discussed at some length. During the meeting Mr. Paynter of the high school expressed his thanks to the business men for their support of the basket ball tournament and Clement Bogaard, captain of the team, gave a little talk. It is expected that the next meeting of the commercial club will be held the first part of May. |
