--------- Jackson, Ole #2 (20 NOV 1864 – 5 JAN 1905)

Ole Jackson had to close his barbershop Saturday and go home and to bed, about as sick as a man could be and walk home. An abscess on the back of his head was the immediate cause of his sickness, and he had it lanced later in the day. He was on the street again Monday.

The above item was in type when the writer left for Madison on a sad errand of his own. On returning Friday morning it becomes our duty to report Mr. Jackson’s death on Thursday, Jan. 5, 1905, at 2 p.m. of blood poisoning.

Ole A. Jackson was born at Taylor, Wis., Nov. 20, 1864. He came here (Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis.) a young man and engaged in the barber business. Was married Dec. 18, 1888, to Emily Neverman, became a member of Co. A, and was 1st Lt. during the Spanish war, and elected captain after the war closed, being a thorough tactician and a student of military matters.

The date of the funeral is not fixed as our forms are closed, but it will be Saturday or Sunday, at 2 p. m. at the house, Rev. Longenecker to officiate.

Deceased was born a farmer boy and was a quiet, accommodating, well educated man, possessing many good traits of character.
