(1925? - August 25, 2008) Emil E. Plautz, 83, Withee died Monday, August 25, 2008 at St. Joseph Hospital Palliative Care Unit. There will be private family graveside services at a later date at Riverside Cemetery. Fr. Benjamin Franklin will preside. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Emil was born in Willard to Stephen and Mary Popovich Plautz. He married Margaret Urbanz on April 15, 1950 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen. Emil farmed in rural Owen for 37 years. Retiring 17 years ago, he and his wife moved to the village of Withee. He was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. Emil is survived by his wife, Marge Plautz, Withee; two sons, Randy (Chriss) Plautz, Terry (Linda) Plautz, Withee; two daughters, Colleen (Dennis) Wendt, Owen and Kim Plautz, Chippewa Falls; five grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; a brother George (Ellen) Plautz, Greenwood; and a sister, Rose (Frank) Pakiz, Greenwood. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; and five sisters. Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family with private arrangements. ?
