Bio: Radke, Mrs. Carl (1948)
Surnames: Radke ---Source: Clark County Press (Neillsville, Clark Co., WI.) August 12, 1948 ---Radke, Mrs. Carl (1948) Grasp on Pump Handle Checks a Nasty Fall A firm grasp on a pump handle saved Mrs. Carl Radke from a fall into a well. She is now recovering from bruises and cracked ribs at her home on the North Side. Mrs. Radke was standing upon a wooden platform over the well as she pumped water for household use. The plank gave way under her, and she began to fall. She hung to the pump handle for dear life, as she began to descend. She checked the fall and hung there, until rescued by her husband. In falling Mrs. Radke sustained injuries from coming into contact with portions of the platform. She was given surgical treatment and is making a good recovery.
