Funeral services for William Krueger were held at St. Paul’s Lutheran church at Green Grove Saturday afternoon, Rev. Martin H. Krause officiating, and internment was made in the parish cemetery. Pall bearers were Fred Glenzer, Alvin Woik, Paul Woik, John Untiedt, Harry Untiedt and Walter Hake. Flowers were in charge of Garen Krueger, Carol Krueger, Darlene Krueger and Connie Weller.

Mr. Krueger was born in the town of Green Grove, Clark county, on March 7th, 1887, and died on November 6th, 1956, after a lingering illness, thus reaching the age of 69 years, seven months and 29 days. He married Lena Krueger in Colby on September 6th, 1911. They engaged in farming.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Emil (Viola) Untiedt and Mrs. Melvin (Betty) Gosse of Curtiss; two sons, Melvin Krueger of Milan and Gerhardt Krueger of Phoenix, Arizona; one sister, Gusta Kobs of Curtiss; two brothers, Hugo Krueger of Curtiss and Henry Krueger of Abbotsford; 15 grand children. One son died in infancy.

Out of town people here for the funeral were from Eagle, Chicago, Newton, Marshfield, Milwaukee, Whittlesey, Gilman, Oshkosh, Wausau and Medford.

Mr. Krueger was well known for his energetic and congenial disposition and made friends easily. They will miss him.
