Eidsvold Local News

S.S. Warner dropped a cake of ice on one of his feet last week and now limps, in consequence.

Miss Katie Healy of Unity, visited at I. P. Drake’s last week. Miss Healy is a frequent and welcome caller at this place.

S.S. Warner, Frank Story, A. Ruscher and Geo. Eaton were putting up ice for the season last week.

Carl Larson, who has been sojourning here since last fall, left last week for his home near South Wayne.

The residence of Moses Poquette, on Depo street, with all its contents, was burned to the ground last Wednesday afternoon. The cause of the fire is unknown, as Mr. and Mrs. Poquette were absent. The loss is total, as no insurance was carried.

The Ladies Aid Society, of the M. E. Church, held a very enjoyable meeting at the home of S.S. Warner last Wednesday afternoon. A number of gentlemen called in the evening, at the time supper was served. After which, games, singing and other amusements filled out a very interesting program.

Mrs. Dedrick is very low at this writing, and it is doubtful if she will survive until the next.

The marriage of Rangna Eddegorde and Albert Burni is reported, taking place at Minneapolis on Monday. The bride is a daughter of Edwin Eddegorde, an Eau Claire Tailor, and is well known here, having spent several seasons with her uncles, Otto and Chris Evenson. The groom is a wealthy liquor dealer of Minneapolis.

Oh No! Hemlock, Mr Colby is not a resident of this place. Altho’ there has been a bond of friendship between Eidsvold and Reseberg, we do not presume to claim the citizens of the place.
