Mrs. Arthur Drescher, 64, died at her home in the Town of Grant on Friday, July 7, 1949.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 12, at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church. Interment was made in the Town of Grant Cemetery, the Rev. Virgil Nulton officiating.

Martha Nitschke was born on August 21, 1884, to William and Albertina Nietzel Nitschke in the Town of Lynn. She received her education in the schools of Clark County. She was a dressmaker for several years prior to her marriage.

On September 14, 1914, she was married to Arthur Drescher at Granton. Four children were born to them, all of whom survive. They resided on the same farm the past 35 years. Mrs. Drescher was an active member in the Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church so long as her health permitted. She has been in failing health the past two years.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur Drescher, four children: Donald Drescher, Greenwood; Norman Drescher, Neillsville; Mrs. Eugene (Vivian) Thiede of Granton; and Arthur Drescher, Jr., of Neillsville; one sister, Mrs. Clarence Chubb of Granton, and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Willard Gerhardt, Walter Gerhardt, Arthur Hubing, Alvin Eisentraut, A. R. Swann and Ernest Kuechenmeister.

Mrs. Lewis Scholtz and Harold Huckstead sang two selections, accompanied by Mrs. Walter Gerhardt.

Those from out-of-town attending the rites were Mrs. Ida Pohlcamp of Milwaukee.
