Miss Eunice Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Smith of Granton and Arthur Anderson of Greenwood were united in marriage by the Rev. L. H. Holmes in a double ring ceremony performed at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, at the York Center Methodist church. Miss Smith chose the day on which her grandparents had been married 80 years ago.

Miss Sjirley Rowe sang “The

Sunshine of Your Smile” and “I Love You Truly,” with Mrs, Milford Rowe playing the accompaniment and the wedding marches. Miss June Voight and Miss Jeanette Vandeberg, wearing pink and blue formal frocks, acted as ushers.

Presented in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length brocaded gown, designed with a net overskirt. The bodice was styled with a sweetheart neckline and bracelet sleeves. A beaded headdress held her fingertip veil, and she carried a bouquet of roses and mums. Her pearl neckline and bracelet were gifts of the groom.

Mrs. Chester Turville of Neillsville, a sister of the bride, wearing a pink frock and a matching veil caught to a wreath of flowers, served as matron of honor. Miss Pauline Anderson of Marshfield, the groom’s sister, in a similar dress and veil in blue, was bridesmaid. Pink carnations and mums were included in their corsages. Their pearl necklaces were gifts from the bride.

Ann Turville, a niece of the bride, wearing a white satin frock trimmed with pink ribbons and carrying a bouquet similar to the bride’s, was flower girl. Dale Turville, a nephew, carried the rins on a white satin pillow bordered with lace.

Chester Turville of Neillsville and Dale Thomas of Greenwood attended the groom.

Following the ceremony, a dinner was served to 50 guests at the Smith home, which was decorated in pink and white streamers, centered with a large white wedding bell. A two-tiered wedding cal\ke, topped with a miniature bride and groom ornament, centered the table.

A wedding dance and shower were held in the Granton community hall in the evening.

Guests from away were Mr. and Mrs. Carl  Perso of Cudahy, and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Dahnert, David Harvey ,William Turville and Miss Margaret Jenneman of Sheldon.

Mrs. Anderson was graduated from the Loyal high school with the class of 1946. The bridegroom served with the marine corps for two years, receiving his discharge from the service on Aug. 14, 1946.

Mr. and Mrs. Anderson will live on a farm near Spencer.
