News: The Clark Republican and Press 6-22-1882
Source: The Clark Republican and Press Date: 6-22-1882 Geo. A. Ludington has been confined to his house during the week with an abscess on his foot. The “thing” has finally come to a head, and George will doubtless be on duty within a few days. Miss Nora Tripp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Tripp, returned from River Falls, where she had been attending school, last Saturday. Miss M. S. Tripp, a sister of Mr. Tripp, also returned to this city at the same time. Dr. Day, of Eau Claire, was called to this city last Saturday morning in the case of little Irving Mahar, son of Mr. Henry Mahar, whose life has been hanging in the balance for several days past, and whose condition is still more than critical. J. E. West and Geo. Blakeslee have accepted the agency for Clark county for the Wheeler & Wilson sewing machine. They have commenced canvassing and have already sold several machines. The large attendance at the funeral of Mr. Orson Bacon, which took place at the M. E. Church last Friday, gave abundant evidence of the esteem in which he was held in the community in which so many years of his life were spent. Jas. Bryden is the owner of a brand new rig-horse, harness and buggy. Jim is surely getting proud. |
