Obit: Brossow, Caroline P. (1910 - 2003)
Wednesday, August 27, 2003 edition of the Clark County Press Caroline P. Brossow Caroline P. Brossow, age 93, of Thorp, passed away Sunday, Aug. 24, at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen. Caroline Pedersen was born in Stanley on June 1, 1910, the daughter of Soren and Hilda (Anderson) Pedersen. She attended area schools, graduating from Withee High School in 1928. She then attended the University of Eau Claire, where she graduated with a teaching degree in 1958. She continued her education by taking extension courses while teaching elementary education in Racine. She later taught school in Marathon County for three years and also in Withee. After 45 years of teaching, she retired in 1975. Caroline and Capt. Glenn Brossow were married in December, 1942 at West Palm Beach, Fla. She continued to teach school while Glenn served his time in the U.S. Air Force. Glenn passed away in November, 1983. Caroline is survived by her sister, Elva Pedersen, of Thorp. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one brother, Carl Pedersen. There will be no public visitation or services. |
