Miss Grace Brown who has been spending several months at Appleton, returned home Friday.

Chas. F. Grow was called to Prairie du Sac Monday by a telegram stating that his father was very ill.

Joseph Gibson will soon start a banking house in Medford. His son Lee will no doubt be cashier and run the business.

John Schneider and wife of St. Paul, brother-in-law of Robt. Bullion, are here on a visit. They expect to remain some time.

Tom Muller, of Canada, a man said to be the brother-in-law of Van Luven, the deaf and dumb man who lived in this city during last summer, was picked up on the streets last week by Marshal Hommel and lodged in jail on account of his queer actions, and was afterward examined by physicians and adjudged insane. His relatives in Canada have been notified and is at present held in custody, awaiting an answer.
