Ole Samuelson chairman of the town of Worden, H. S. Mulvey supervisor of the village of Loyal, J. J. Shafer supervisor of the village of Colby and chairman of the county board, and Wm. Irvine chairman of the town of Beaver, were in this city last week as members of the jail committee. The committee decided to build a jail.

Mrs. Carrie Gotham-Parker and little two-year old son James. Of Blissfield, Mich., arrived in this city Tuesday morning to spend the holidays with her aunt, Mrs. George Hart. .Carrie was a former Neillsville girl, and graduated from the high school in 1890. After leaving this city she went to her fathers home in Michigan, where she was married.

Frank D. Eyerly, of this city, graduated in the law class of the Wisconsin University, on the 21st and now has a diploma to practice in the supreme and federal courts. His many friends here will be pleased with his success.

Mrs. L. J. Glass, this week, received a beautiful toilet and work box for her Christmas present which was made entirely by hand by Peter Glass of Sheboygan county, who is 78 years age, and the father of Louis J. Glass, her husband. The box is all inlaid work of very pretty designs, and consists of thousands of pieces of woods, which fit with such nicety that it is almost impossible to find the different pieces. The work must be seen to be appreciated.
