Source: The Clark Republican and Press Date: 6-24-1897 Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Vandervoort and Mr. and Mrs. Vine Taylor, of Monroe county, are visiting their relatives, Mr. A. Hucksted and family. Mrs. F. D. Lindsay is having her entire house, on the farm, completely remodeled and when she gets through making improvements she will have a very nice residence. DONATED THE LIBRARY TO THE CITY: At a meeting last night, of the directors of the existing library organization, it was voted to donate to the new city library all the books which they now have on hand, valued at about #300, and what cash is in the hands of the treasurer, amounting to about $17. This is a fairly good start and those who are interested in an institution of this kind should come forward with their contributions of money or books. |
