Four cases of typhoid fever are reported in the family of F. Woodward in the town of Eaton.

Mr. W. A. Leason and wife, who have been visiting at Plymouth returned home Monday.

Mr. Fred Huntzicker severs his connection with the Neillsville Bank today. Patrons of the Neillsville Bank will miss Fred from the tellers window where he has so ably presided for the past four or five years. He associates himself with the Huntzicker Bank and will go to work there at once.

There will be a hard times social at the York and Grant church Tuesday evening, Oct. 5 for the benefit of the M. E. church. A program will be rendered consisting of recitations and tableaus. Supper 10 cents.

A LIVELY RUNAWAY: A lively runaway occurred on Hewett street, last Friday in which Scott Davis’ team played the principal part. In front of the postoffice they collided with Mrs. Thos. Kerns’ hourse and carriage nearly causing another runaway, but bystanders succeeded in stopping her horse before any damage other than a broken thill, was caused. Scott was standing beside the horses when they started byt was unable to stop them. The last seen of the buggy as they turned the corner near M.D. Ring’s residence, it looked as if there would not be enough left to make kindling wood of.

SUIT OF DAMAGES: A suit for damages was tried in Justice Glass’ court last Saturday in which Anna Lewindowski was plaintiff and George Scholtz defendant. The suit grew out of an assault upon the plaintiff in which she sustained severe injuries. Judgment was rendered for the plaintiff. It is understood that the case will be appealed
