Dr. P. McKittrick of Thorp, did business at the county seat Wednesday.

Geo. W. Curtiss repairs and cleans all kinds of musical instruments.

Miss Maggie McNamara, who teaches in Thorp, is home on a two-weeks’ vacation.

John Bryden, mine host of the Greewood House, was in Neillsville last Thursday.

Christ Vates of Loyal, was in Neillsville, last Thursday.

Miss Amelia Deutsch attended the C. E. Convention at Durand last week.

County Clerk C. M. Brandford took in town meetin’ in his home town of Sherman.

Joe Shafer of Colby, was in the city Wednesday with election returns as baggage.

Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Morris are happy over the arrival of a brand new boy, born the 5th inst.

The new fire bell has arrived and is a stunner. When it goes off in the dead hours of the night folks will know it.

Miss Dangers resigned her department in the city schools, and Miss Creswell, a daughter of Rev. R. J. Creswell, is engaged to fill the place.

W. W. Taplin has put in acetylene gas plants for July & Wolf and Fred Bredymeyer. The plants are put in on trail but our opinion is they will remain. It is a fine light. (Colby Phonograph)

The Philippine war is about over and so is winter. Let peace reign and the voice of the blue bird be heard in the land.

Mrs. A. W. Clark and daughter Mrs. Edith Sawyer, of Menomonee, Mich., and G. H. Clark and wife of Rhinelander, were in the city Tuesday to attend the funeral of their son and brother, William Clark.
