Turner York Carl Mick has been very sick for more than a week past. He is reported somewhat better, and his speedy recovery is hoped for. f. W. Draper, of the town of Loyal, was a caller in Neillsville last Thursday. Fred has political aspirations of which more will be said hereafter. To those who have paper hanging, I would state that I am prepared to do all kinds; decorating, butted work a specialty. All work done well and prices reasonable. Samuel B. Calway A baby boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Jos. David on Thursday. The little one died Saturday night. Mr David was at Mauston attending his fathers funeral Saturday, returning just before the baby died. Geo. Woodward, a son of M. F. Woodward who lives northeast of the city, has been spending the winter with his parents. He started overland with a team, on Tuesday, for his home in Orinoco, Minn. Millard Parker has gone to Spring Valley to work in the mill at that place. It is reported that he will remove his family to Spring Valley. Mr. Parker is a good mill man, having had years of experience along that line. A large tumor of the neck was successfully removed last Thursday afternoon by Drs. Frank and John M. Conroy and Dr. Hacket. The patient Mrs. O. W. Babcock, of Washburn, a lady seventy-three years old, stood the ordeal without chloroform or ether. A local anesthetic was deemed the safest. Her condition at present is excellent. |
