Obit: Kreiser, Alfred/ 22 Nov 1953
Alfred "Ake" Kreiser Alfred Kreiser, Schofield, a World War veteran and past commander of the American Legion Post No. 175, at Loyal, who died early yesterday at a local hospital of a heart attack, had returned Sunday afternoon from a hunting trip near Willow Dam and Tomahawk. He had been ailing for some time. Mr. Kreiser was a lineman and a station maintenance man for the Commonwealth Telephone Company in the Wausau area. At one time, he was manager for the company at Minocqua and had also worked for the utility in Loyal. The body was taken yesterday morning to Loyal for funeral services tomorrow morning at the Catholic Church in that community. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. He was born February 28, 1894, in West Bend and was married April 20, 1920 to Pearl Ratelle. He served in the 127th Infantry band of the 32nd Division during the First World War. Surviving are the widow; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Schmitz, Milwaukee, and Miss Bevnadine (?) Kreiser, Gillett, and a brother Edwin Kreiser, Loyal. (Wausau Record Herald/ 23 November 1953) |
