Obit: Colcord, Harry A. (1885 - 1928)
Surnames: COLCORD ---------Source: OWEN ENTERPRISE (Owen, Clark County, Wis.) 01/03/1929 --------- Colcord, Harry A. (1885 - 29 DEC 1928) An illness of eleven days duration, which began with an attack of influenza and developed into pneumonia, claimed the life of Harry Albert Colcord, 43, a well known and highly esteemed farmer, residing one and one-half miles east of the city (Owen, Clark County, Wis.), on the north Curtiss road, Saturday evening. In spite of the fact that physicians held little hope for his recovery since early last week, friends and members of his family continued to be optimistic. His condition was serious, but efficient medical skill and care were administered, and at intervals a slight improvement appeared to exist. The attack, however, affected his heart, and the end came shortly after eight o'clock Saturday evening. He leaves to mourn, his wife and three sons, all of who were at home at the time of his death. Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon from the home, Rev. W. P. Powell, pastor of the Congregational Church, officiating, and burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery. |
