Pearl F. Steinmetz, 92, passed away Jan. 2 at Hetzel Care Center in Bloomer.

Pearl was born on Sep 9, 1910 in Bloomer to Herman and Esther (Hickathier) Steinmetz.

Pearl married Ester Peterson on Nov. 6, 1934 in Bloomer. He worked as a dairy farmer, and he enjoyed painting and taking trips on his lawnmower.

Pearl is survived by one son, Gordon (Karen) Steinmetz of Chippewa Falls; one daughter, Vernice Marion of Stanley; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Esther and two brothers, Walter and Harry, at birth; five sisters Eleanor Seckora, Lissette Mertle, Lena Boos, Margaret Stoffel and Clara Dahl; and one grandson Jimmy.

Funeral services were held Jan 5 at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer, David W. Olson officiated. Burial was in the New Auburn Cemetery.
