James B. Marion, 68, of the town of Colburn passed away on June 19 at his residence. James was born on Dec. 20, 1933 in the town of Edson, the son of Jacob and Anna (Spaeth) Marion. He grew up there, attending area schools.

On Oct. 15, 1953 he married Vernice Steinmetz in Bloomer. After their marriage they lived in the town of Colburn for the past 39 years. Jim farmed and hauled milk for the last 30 years. He was a member of the Full Gospel Mission.

Survivors include his wife, Vernice of Stanley; one daughter, Joanne (Scott) Creaser of Augusta; three grandchildren, Chad Bergman (Fiancée Sherry Frost) of Augusta, Stacy Hadorn (Fiancée Andrew Axelson) of Altoona and Jason Bergman of Stanley; three great-grandchildren, Skyler, Searra and Sadie Hadorn, all of Altoona; one brother, George 9Anita) Marion of Cadott; one sister, Vivian Ellis of San Bruno, Calif.; and many nieces, nephews and many foster children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Anna Marion; and a son, James Edward Marion in 1992. Funeral services were held on June 24 at Full Gospel Mission in the town of Wilson. Pastor Herman Larrabee officiated. Burial was in Edson Union Cemetery in the town of Edson.
