“Frederick Awe, 50, Dies At Eau Claire” Frederick Martin Awe, aged 50, passed away March 2 at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire, after an illness of six weeks. Mr. Awe was born at Longwood, January 5, 1888 on the farm where he spent his entire life. On June 16, 1915 he was united in marriage to Miss Gunda Anderson of Longwood. To this union six children were born: John Everett, Mildred Dorothy, Fredric Merlin, Ruth Ilene and Myron Donald who reside at home and Gertrude, Mrs. Philip Kettner of Chicago. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Johanna Awe of Sunnyvale, California, two brothers, Edward of Atwood and Henry of Los Altos, California and two sisters, Mrs. John E. Stowell of Sunnyvale, California and Mrs. William Youngblood of Santa Cruz, California. One sister, Alma, died in infancy. His father preceded him in death three years ago. Funeral services were held Monday, March 7, at the home and at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Longwood. Rev. A.E. Norson officiated. Interment was in Longwood cemetery. Pall bearers were Henry Sorenson, Reinhart Wilkins, Hugo Behringer, Joe Kauenik, E.J. Haemer and August Fahlbush. Out of town relatives attending were Mrs. Ben Boehnlein, Mrs. William Awe of New Holstein; Mrs. Louis Kandler of Chicago; William Herwig and Alvin F. Awe of Kiel; Miss Ann Awe and Mrs. and Mrs. Walter Domer and family of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. William Tschopp, Mrs. Louis Ritzinger and John Nowak of Chippewa Falls.
