Obit: Klauck, Theresa (1879 - 1944)
Mrs. Henry Klauck--(By News-Herald Correspondent) WITHEE--Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Klauck, 64, who died Thursday, March 30, after a several months' illness, were held at the Griebnow Funeral Home, Owen, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Withee. The Rev. Victor Plecity, a nephew, of Blessed Sacrament Church, LaCrosse read the Requiem High Mass, assisted by the Rev. Francis Brockman. Interment was made at the Riverside cemetery. Pallbearers were Carl B????, Peter Kessenich, Theodore ???tges, Fred Koplitz, Withee, ???han, and Arthur Smasal. Mrs. Klauck was born Theresa Plecity in Kladna, Bohemia, on April 6, 1879, and came to America with her parents, brothers, and sisters when she was 9 years old. They settled on a farm north of Thorp, at what is now known as Mileaway. She attended the public school at Thorp and grew up there. In 1902 she married Henry Klauck. After a short stay at Mapelhurst, Taylor County, they took up their residence in Withee. They had two children, Verona, who teaches in Onalaska, and Kenneth, Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. One brother, Frank Plecity, Stanley, survives. There also is one grandchild. Out of town relatives and friends who attended the funeral were Kenneth and Bernard Klauck, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Plecity, Mrs. William Sattler, Mr. and Mrs. George Klauck, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Richter, Stanley; the Rev. Victor Plecity, LaCrosse; Donald Plecity, Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sanders and Mrs. Anna Klauck, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Misura, Mrs. Arthur DeWitt, Mrs. Morris Meade, Mr. Frank Misura and daughter, Mrs. William Anderson, Eau Claire; Mrs. John Burke, Boyd; Mr. and Mrs. Tony Velcheck, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Soderburg, Mr. and Mrs. William Micke, Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. Dick Bowen, Longwood and Camp McCain, Miss.
