Obit: Haas, Nellie R. (1881 - 1949)
Surnames: HAAS BARTLE STROHKIRCH ---------Source: STARK FAMILY ALBUM --------- Haas, Nellie R. (15 JUN 1881 - 3 APR 1949) A pioneer resident of this community, Mrs. Wm. Haas, 67 years of age, was laid to rest yesterday afternoon when final rites were conducted at two o'clock from the Methodist Church at Withee, Clark County, Wis. The Rev. Irish of Thorp and Myron Glick, Owen officiated. She was placed in her final resting place in the Riverside Cemetery. Pallbearers at the service were: Stephen Quist, A. R. Martin, Wm. Veurink, Jess Capes, Art Meirer and Fred Johnson. Flower girls were: Mrs. Kenneth Mathewson, Mrs. S. E. Grimes, Mrs. Ted Buchanan and Mrs. Walter Hansen. The deceased was born on June 15, 1881, at Linden, Wis. to Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Bartle. She was married to William Haas Sept. 14, 1904. Most of her life was spent and enjoyed in this community until recently when she was confined to the hospital at Marshfield for medical attention. It was there on Sunday morning, April 3, 1949, that the Lord took her home, death coming quietly and peacefully. Mrs. Haas was well known and well liked by a large circle of friends. Always pleasant and genial she was obliging to everyone and friendly in her relationship to all. |
