Prof. Henry Mueller, whose unexpected death was noted in last week's issue of the Enterprise, was born in Bavaria, Nov. 1, 1845. As an infant he came to this country with his parents, and at the age of fourteen years was place upon his own resources to make a place for himself in the world. Being ambitious, he sought first an education and at eight became a teacher. This profession he followed without interruption for a period of fifty years, in public and parochial schools. His last position was in a large parochial school in Bruno, Sask. And the day he was taken ill was the one he had planned on leaving for that city to resume his work. Mr. Mueller was also an accomplished musician and teacher, and he was never so happy as when leading a band or orchestra. In 1865 he was united in marriage at Fond du Lac, and eighteen years ago moved to the farm west of the village (Humbird, Clark County, Wis.). This was their home until a week ago, when they moved to town, It is thought the extra exertion of that work brought on the trouble that terminated his life, on Tuesday evening, March 4, 1913. At his request, the funeral services were held in Marshfield, in the chapel adjoining St. Joseph's Hospital, and the buiral was in the Catholic Cemetery in that city. Mr. Mueller was the father of five children, two of whom, with his wife, survive. He was a generous, kindhearted man, whose friends were numbered by the extent of his acquaintance.
