--------- Feltz, Emma (10 NOV 1838 - 30 MAR 1916)

Mrs. Emma Feltz, for fifty years a resident of the town of Cleveland, Jackson Co., Wis., died at the home of Fred Melchor on Thursday, March 30, 1916, after a few weeks illness from paralysis and old age. Mrs. Feltz was 77 years, 4 months and 20 days of age at the time of her death. She was born Emma Kendahl, at Klinden Minster, Germany, on Nov. 10, 1838, where she grew to womanhood and was united in marriage with George Feltz. They came to this country and settled on the farm in Cleveland, which has since been her home. Mr. Feltz died about twenty years ago, and since that time she has operated the farm with the aid of an adopted son. No children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Feltz. She was an industrious and capable woman and made a success of the farm and accumulating a comfortable competence for her old age. She was a woman of kindly ways and was a general favorite of her nieces and nephews, who ever welcomed her to their homes. The funeral was held Monday morning from St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Fairview, and the burial was in the cemetery beside her husband.

Mrs. Feltz was an aunt of Charles Brandstedter of this village (Humbird, Clark County, Wis.) quite a number of her nieces and nephews were in attendance at the funeral, together with a large congregations of neighbors and friends.
