Residence of Samuel E. Hutchings. Mr. Hutchings is a native of New York. He was born at Peekskill in that state, in the year 1839. He lived in New York until 1850 when he moved to Waukesha County, Wisconsin. He was married to Miss Margaret McKeand in 1859. His cottage home, which the above cut presents, is situated on his farm a short distance from Neillsville. Mr. Hutchings has several times been elected to and filled different town offices to the statisfaction of the people of his town. He is at the present time the town clerk of Pine Valley . ("Clark County Illustrated" by Saterlee, Tifft & Marsh; 1890).
