Henry M. Nedry was born April 26, 1855, locating in Dorchester in 1883. He and his first wife, Minerva Ellen Brown Nedry, had three children (*see the note below). Dr. Nedry lived where presently is located the Genrich Fur Farm on 4th Street South. After the death of his first wife, he married Minnie Rosine, several children were born to this union. He practiced as a doctor until 1909, when he sold his office to Dr. F. P. Foley, this being the present living quarters of the W. P. Lehnertz's.

On May 3, 1923, Dr. H. M. Nerdy died, and was interred in the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. A family photo was taken after the funeral.

His oldest son, Galen, followed in his father's footsteps, (as well as son Clive) specializing in the treatment of eyes, ears, and nose. He formed a partnership with Dr. Nystrum of Medford, which was the beginning of the Medford Clinic, in approximately 1917.

**Family note:

Henry Shauck Nedry was the son of Dr. Henry M. Nedry. We do not have records about the first wife mentioned in this article. Our information, which I do believe is correct, was that Minnie was his first and after she died he remarried and had another son Claudius who died quite young by drowning.  We have understood that Minnie had 9 children (Gale, Clive, Mattie, Henry, Rusk, Britt, Morris, Bob & Helen. ) but if your information is correct the first 3 weren't hers.  Galen, Bob, Mattie, Henry removed to the NW also Rusk.

I am convinced Dr. Nedry only had 2 wives. The first Minnie E Brown Nedry.  The second wife was also named Minnie which could have confused the issue of the 9 children.   by: Joyce Nedry Hart (also contributed the photos linked to this page).
