Gardner, Carrie (Marriage - 18 OCT 1892)


Married, in Greenwood, Clark County, Wis., Oct. 18, 1892, by Rev. W. T. Hendren of the Presbyterian Church, Mr. Byron Bassett to Miss Carrie Gardener, both of York Center.

We should judge by this notice, which appeared in the Greenwood Gleaner on the 21st of this month, that they were either a little over a year behind the times up there, or else had made a mistake and forgotten which year this was. For the benefit of the Gleaner people we will say that this is the year we celebrate Columbus' four hundredth anniversary. In other words 1892.
