The Family of Edward C. & Carrie L. (Young) Mordt

In 1905, forty-four year old Edwin C. Mordt and his thirty-five year old wife, Carrie L. were living in a home they were buying in Abbotsford, Clark Co., WI.  He immigrated in 1877 and was a native of Norway as were his parents.  She immigrated in 1885 and from Germany where her parents were also born.  The couple had married in Medford, Taylor Co., WI, Feb. 26, 1894.  They had five daughters: eleven year old Maude, nine year old Esther, 8 year old Elsie, three year old Edna and an infant, Callie.  They also had a six year old son named Oscar.  Edwin was a full time Landlord and Carrie's days were filled with caring for their children and household duties.
