Mahlon Lowell Purgett
Mahlon Lowell Purgett was born January 23, 1929. He enlisted by giving wrong age in the Navy. After basic training, he served aboard the U.S.S. Huston from April to Dec. of 1946 in Operation Goodwill, leaving Norfolk and stopping at all the countries in the Europe and surrounding areas. He was discharged in 1947. He was the second child of Charles and Florence Bergstrom Purgett and was married to Marjorie Nelson.

Purgett died Febuary 23, 1972 in Brookfield, Wisconsin and is buried in Highland
Memorial Park, New Berlin Township, Waukesha County, Wisconsin.
