Aaron Hodnett (1888 - 1974)

Aaron was born Feb. 1, 1888 to Henry and Amanda (Deering) Hodnett.  He died Apr. 5, 1974 and is buried in Sylvan Cemetery, Reseburg Township, Clark County, Wisconsin.

 

Many years ago a person didn't need blaze orange clothing to go deer hunting, like we do today. But the bucks were just as nice. This beautiful eight-point buck was tagged by Aaron and Lynn Hodnett on their Thorp area farm. The date of the photo, which was submitted by Allan Hodnett, of Muskego, WI, was not given, but by the looks of their dress and the horses in the background, it must have been over 50 years ago.--from the Courier darkroom
