Norman Orion Collins fought as a private in the Civil War for 2 years, 11 months and 21 days, from August 16, 1862 to April 24, 1864. He was a Musician in Co. A, of the 25th Wisconsin Infantry. At the time of the 1890 Census, he was residing in Thorp, Wisconsin and suffering a disability of chronic diarrhea and piles.
