Joseph & Mildred (Gipson) Gubeli, Sr.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph F. Gubeli Sr. 

 

Mrs. Gubeli's maiden name was Mildred D. Gipson.  Mr. Gubeli was born in Switzerland in 1900 and came to America 1921.  Mr. Gubeli Settled in Thorp, Wisconsin, where he purchased the White Birch Cheese Factory.  Joseph Sr. was the owner and cheese maker for over 40 years.  His wife Mildred was his book keeper and was responsible for the over all financial aspects of a cheese factory.  Joseph Sr. died in 1984 and is buried at St Mary’s Czestochowa Route 3, Stanley Wisconsin.  Mildred Gubeli died in 1991 in Northfield, Minnesota.  They had 4 children, Martina, Joseph Jr., Barbara, and Mildred.  Joseph Jr. lives in South Carolina, Martina, Barbara and Mildred all are living in Minnesota.
