Isaac Fields was born in England during 1843.  He was a Civil War Soldier who fought with Company F of the 14th Regiment, Wisconsin Infantry.

He likely married his wife, Unice A., "Minnie" who was born April 5, 1842 in New York, after his military service.

They had at least three children, two daughters: Caroline (b. 1872), Georgia A. (b. 1874) and a son, Earle (b. 1876).  When their first child was born in 1872, they were living in Elm Grove, Martin, Minnesota, but by the time their second child arrived in 1874, they'd already settled in Wisconsin.  They were early pioneers of Pine Valley, Wisconsin.

June 12, 1884, Helen M. (Goodrich) Cornwell and her husband, Orson, sold five acres of land of section 16 in Pine Valley Township to Isaac Fields for $100, via a Warranty Deed.  It was an elegant residence and productive land.

When he was forty-four and just four years after they purchased the Cornwell property, Isaac lost Minnie.  She died of "apoplexy" the day after her forty-fifth birthday, March 6, 1888.  At the time of her death, Caroline was sixteen, Georgia A. was fourteen and Earle was just twelve years old.  Historically, the word "apoplexy" was used to describe any sudden death that began with a sudden loss of consciousness, especially when the victim died within a matter of seconds after losing consciousness.

Isaac apparently died before the 1900 Census was taken.  He and his wife are both buried in the Neillsville, Wisconsin City Cemetery.
