OBITUARY OF HAROLD E. BORHAM (1916-1939)

Harold Edward Borham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Borham, was born in Greenwood, Wisconsin, October 27, 1916. He attended school here and graduated with the class of 1934.

He moved with his parents to Indiana in 1936, then went to Chicago and worked there for a while. Later he attended the State Teachers' College at Stevens Point, Wisconsin. While attending school at Stevens Point he took sick and returned to this aunts' home at Maywood, Illinois.

Harold was injured playing basketball seven years ago last November. Serious trouble developed from this and for the last seven months he grew worse, suffering much until his death January 14, 1939, at his home in Maywood.

He is survived by his parents, one sister, Mrs. Karl (Katherine) Behrens of Chicago and two brothers, Kenneth of Wausau and Paul, Jr. of Stevens Point, his fiancée, Miss Frances Schiller, as well as other relatives and friends.

The remains were brought from Maywood to this city on Monday and funeral services were conducted at the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon and 2:00 o'clock, Rev. C. Gaylord officiating. The body was laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Geo. Haeuser and Mrs. Harold Stabnow, accompanied by Miss Mabel Bishop at the piano, rendered two beautiful numbers "In The Garden" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere."

The pallbearers were Eugene Boyce, Art Christie, Albert Nenenfeldt, Merill Dunn, Henry Dahl, and Roger Steele.

Those who had charge of the flowers were Mrs. Allen Wuethrich, Mrs. Merrill Dunn, Miss Theresa Arends and Miss Helen Linderman.

Harold was possessed of a gentle, unassuming and unselfish disposition and the news of his passing came as a shock to his many friends.

Those from away who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Borham, and Mrs. Irvle Borham of Maywood, Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. Karl Behrens of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Borham of Wausau; Paul Borham Jr. of Stevens Point; Mrs. C. Nelson of Weyauwega; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Needham of Longwood, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Christie of Abbotsford.

Mrs. Henry Buening, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Needham and daughter, Alice and Clarence Needham of Fennimore, Wm. Buckley of Marshfield and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Haas of Thorpe.
