OBITUARY--Buker, Anna (1873 - 1912)

ANNA WEHRMAN was born September 23, 1873, in Sheboygan county, Wisconsin, the second child of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wehrman. The early part of her childhood was passed at that place, and when seven years of age she came with her parents to this city and settled on a farm a few miles west of town. Her girlhood days were thus passed attending the public schools and assisting her people with such duties as she could readily perform.

On June 14th, 1894 she was married to Edward Buker, to journey through this life as a help mate, enjoying together all privileges afforded, but the sweet ties that bind have been severed.

Mrs. Buker passed away at her home in this city Wednesday morning May 22nd, a little after eight o'clock, at the age of 38 years, 7 months and 28 days. Deceased was taken sick about the middle of January and had not been well at any time since, although she was up and about the house on different occasions. Heart trouble was the cause of death.

Three children were born to her - two sons and a daughter, two of whom survive her Arthur and Orlando, a husband, three sister - Mrs. Val Voilk, Mrs. Wm. Volk and Mrs. Gustave Abel two brothers - Fred and Otto, and an aged father she leaves to mourn her loss.
Mrs. Buker was a member of the R.N.A. and a faithful member of the church.

Life will never be quite the same to those who were nearest to her. They will long for a mother's counsel and advice, and a wife's gentle and loving sympathy, for she was a woman of strong Christan character patient, loving and self-sacrificing.

Her life was gentle but like the still waters it was deep. In her heart of hearts she carried those she loved, and her hand was never weary, her step never failed in ministering unto, caring for, waiting upon those who were in any way dependent upon her.
Funeral services were held at the M.E. church Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Otto Saewert of the German Reformed church and Rev. W. T. Hendren officiating. At the close of these solemn services all were permitted to look for the last time upon the face of the departed then the sad cortege moved on to our silent city. Nothing on earth is changed only a loving wife and mother is gone.
