CHADWICK KLOSTER LOPNOW EGGETT GRIM ROGERS TUCKER CHANDLER

HIS SUFFERINGS ENDED--Chadwick, George (1850-1902)

After an illness of nearly a year during part of which time he had no hope of ever regaining health, George Chadwick has gone the way of earth and joined those who have gone before in the sleep of death, as stated in last week's Gleaner, death occurring at five o'clock on the morning of Jan. 8.

The funeral was held Friday afternoon from the Greenwood M.E. Church, Rev. W. E. Kloster officiating, burial taking place in the Greenwood cemetery.

A large company of neighbors, besides numerous relatives of deceased, were present to pay their last respects to deceased. The pall-bearers were John Lopnow, Geo. Eggett, S. C. Grim, W. S. Rogers, George Tucker and James Tucker.

Geo. Chadwick was born in Warrensburg, New York, Nov. 26, 1850 and came to Christie with his parents at the age of eighteen.
July 22, 1800 he was married to Eva Chandler. After living for three years in Fairchild they moved to the farm on which he died, where they have lived for the past eight years.

Besides the aged mother and two brothers, Thos. and Marvie, deceased leaves the sorrowing wife and three children who are thus early deprived of a husband and father's care.

During the long illness the family has learned that they were dwelling among the best of neighbors who have done everything possible to make the days of suffering as easy as possible and now that the family is bereaved they have the loving sympathy of true and tried friends.
Mrs. Chadwick's brother, Irvie Chandler, will stay with her for the coming year at least and care for the farm.
