Fredericka Schultz was born in Germany, May 22, 1845.
In 1868 she was united in marriage to August Heiking. Ten children were born to this union, four of whom preceded her in death. Her husband died March 8, 1898.
She died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Sid Cox, Greenwood, Clark County, Dec. 16, 1928. The cause of her death being a paralytic stroke.
She leaves to mourn her loss six children, Mrs. Sid Cox of Greenwood Mrs. Geo. Offord of Thorp Mrs. Jim Jensen of Marshfield Fred Heiking of Loyal and William and August Heiking of Columbus. Also, eighteen grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren and a host of friends.
Deceased was a very good and loving wife, mother and friend and was a familiar figure in our community. She will be sadly missed by us all.
The body was taken to Dane County where it was laid to rest in the family lot. A brief funeral service was held here at which Rev. D. S. Householder officiated.
