MRS. A.H. IVERSON PASSES AWAY

Not for many years has this city been as sorrowed as was occasioned last Thursday evening when it was learned that Mrs. Emmar Iverson, the beloved wife of A.H. Iverson , was called to the great beyond in the midst of a life of usefulness which had just begun to fully materialize. The end came shortly after eight o'clock Thursday evening.

Mrs. Emma Iverson was born March 15, 1886 at Blanchardville, Wis., the daughter of Andrew and Martha Strommen. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Chruchs of Blanchardville by Rev. O. Paulson. When she was 23 years of age she was united in marriage to Mr. Arthur Iverson of Dows, Iowa. They made Dows their home for six years and on Feb. 23, 1915 they moved to Greenwood, Clark County, where they purchased a lovely farm just west of the city, and where they have since resided.

Deceased was taken ill several weeks ago and went to the hospital at Marshfield, where she submitted to an operation for internal complications. Later she developed pneumonia, which resulted in death last Thursday, Dec. 28th, 1922. She had reach the age of 36 years, 9 months and 13 days.
Mrs. Iverson was a woman loved by all who knew her. Her home life with her husband and only daughter, Caroline, was ideal in every way. Her greatest thought was the welfare of others. She was also one of the leading members of the United Lutheran Church of this city.

She leaves to mourn her death, her beloved husband and daughter Caroline, three sisters, Miss Carre Strommen, Mrs. B. Paulson and Mrs. O. Erickson, five brothers, Anton, Edward, Martin, Frank and Melvin Strommen. Anton Strommen, Mrs. Paulson and Mrs. Erickson were the only ones not present at the funeral here, which was held fro the church Monday morning at 9:00 o'clock, Rev. Aaberg officiating. He paid a glowing tribute to the departed one and in well chosen words spoke on the text I know that my Redeemer Liveth. The church was filled to capacity by the many friends of the deceased who came to pay their last respects.

From her the body was taken to Dows, Iowa, where on Tuesday it was laid to rest.

The bereaved husband and daughter, as well as the other relatives have the sympathy of the entire community in this, their hour of great sorrow.
