Kraemer, Elizabeth (1925 - 1999)

 

Elizabeth G. (Gertrude) Betsy Kraemer, 73, Marshfield, WI, died Tuesday, February 16, 1999 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, where she was admitted on February 14, 1999.


A Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 19, 1998 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield with Rev. Jerome G. Gerum officiating. Helen Brinkmann will be the organist along with Sacred Heart Adult Choir. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until service time. The Sacred Heart Parish Council of Catholic Women rosary service will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church.


Elizabeth was born July 8, 1925 at Thorp to Walter and Myrtle (Kubera) Badzinski. After graduating from Thorp High School, she moved to Chicago where she was employed for a short time. She later moved to Marshfield where she met the love of her life. She married David A. Kraemer on July 2, 1953 at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp. Betsy spent the next 46 years as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She worked for many years at Figi's and Karau's Grocery Store. Betsy loved to bowl, playing cards and all sports and being with her husband, children and grandchildren. Betsy was a devoted and active member of Sacred Heart Parish for the last 45 years, and a member of the Parish Council of Cathlic Women and VFW Post 54, Auxiliary of Marshfield.


Surviving are her husband David Kraemer her children: Randy Kraemer of Kohler, Ron (Jane) Kraemer of Sun Prairie, Maureen (Alex) Hudson of Wellington, FL, Anne (Jerry) Furey of Milwaukee, Jim (Katherine) Kraemer of Superior, Patti Kraemer-Hanson (Butch) of Madison eight grandchildren: James and Bradley Hudson, Samantha Kraemer-Hanson, Michael Furey, Lily, Simon, and Katie and Zachary Kraemer three sisters: Polly Szczech of Thorp, Gertie Staszcuk of Altoona, Valli (Abie) Krych of Richfield, MN and two brothers: Alex (Lucille) Badzinski and Harry (Margie) Badzinski, both of Thorp. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers: Louis, John, Albert, Joseph and George and 1 sister Josephine Strzok.
