Labiecki, Amelia (1937 - 1999)

 

Amelia Lebiecki, 82, Neillsville Memorial Home, Neillsville, died 11:30 p.m., Thursday, July 15, 1999.
Amelia was born January 2, 1917 at Thorp, WI to Leon and Stefania (Wielgus) Dus.


She married Paul Lebiecki September 25, 1937 at Chicago, IL. She was a 1935 graduate of Gilman High School and raised her family and then entered Taylor County Teachers College, graduating in 1969. She taught in the Medford School system for several years. She and her husband farmed in the Lublin area most of their lives.


After the death of her husband, she moved to Greenwood. She was a member of the Lublin Homemakers for many years. In 1996 she entered the Memorial Home.


Surviving are five daughters: Helen (James) Jones, Muskego, WI, Doris (Ronald) Harrelson of Kingston, IL, Linda (Ronald) Rosiejka of Helenville, WI, Nancy (Paul) Mohr of Neillsville, Debra (David) Andersen of Platteville, WI two brothers: Steve Dus of Thorp, WI, and Leon (Charlotte) Dus of Evansville, IN 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul in 1977 and 1 brother Frank Dus.


A private family service was held. Burial was in Polish National Catholic Cemetery, Lublin, WI. Buchanan Funeral Home, Neillsville assisted the family.
