MARY E. MASON OBITUARY MENTION

Miss Mary E. MASON died at her home on South Second street in this city Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 2nd. She had been ill since Christmas, but lately was much improved, and the cause of her death, which was sudden, was supposed to have been heart disease.
Miss MASON was born in Wisconsin Feb. 9, 1851. She has been a teacher for many years, before she came to this city three years, before she came to this city three years ago, also since that time. She had taught in the Eaton and Silver Lake districts and at the time of her illness was teaching in the Spencer district, near Sightly. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. G. L. Buland and Mrs. W. E. Burt, both of Castle Rock, and three brothers, M. P. Mason, of Castle Rock, J. W. Mason, of Aberdeen, South Dakota.

The funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 3:30 at the home of her sister, Mrs. G. L. Buland, and the remains will be taken to her old home in Wisconsin for burial. Her brother, M. P. MASON, will make the trip to the east with the remains.

The above from the Cowlitz Advocate of Castle Rock, Wash., gives an account of the death of a former Greenwood resident, whose death was mentioned last week. She will be remembered by numerous Clark county people, having taught in different parts of the county for some twenty years or more. The funeral was held in the Presbyterian church at Neillsville Thursday, Rev. W. T. Hendren officiating. The body was laid to rest in the Neillsville cemetery.
