Raymond J. Mohan (1930-1999)


Raymond Joseph Mohan, 69, of Conover, died Wednesday, June 9, at his home. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 12, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colby, Clark County, WI, with Rev. John Malik officiating.

 
Burial took place in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Kenneth, Rodney and Michael Mohan, Dean Young, Matthew Marg, and Joey, Robert and Christopher Wall. Honorary pallbearers were Ralph Sossaman, Gene Ridderbusch, Laurence Watson, Clyde Schultz, Isadore Umlauft, and Lawrence Pinter.


Visitation with a St. Mary's Parish and Knights of Columbus Rosary service was held at Maurina Funeral Home in Abbotsford.


Raymond J. Mohan was born April 12, 1930, in Auburndale to the late Archibald and Anna (Huber) Mohan. He married Patricia J. Geist on August 29, 1953, in Menominee, Mich.


He and his wife lived in Milwaukee until 1955 when they moved to Colby where they owned and operated Ray Pat's Midway Bar, later known as Fuzzy's Bar. In 1961, they started Midway Auto, retiring in 1995. They moved to Conover in 1996. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.


He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Colby Knights of Columbus.


Survivors include his wife, Patricia eight daughters, Kathleen R. (Larry) Wall of Menominee, Mich., Paula R. Mohan of Madison, Cynthia R. Rosenbrook of Denver, Colo., Teresa R. (Brian) Pinter of Green Bay, Suzanne R. (Kevin) Limberg of Rosholt, Carol R. (David) Mickelson of Roseville, Minn., Lisa R. (Brian) Bach of Deerfield, and Sandra R. Mohan of Green Bay three brothers, Archie (Bernadette) of Muskego, Melvin "Fuzzy" of Dorchester and James (Monica) Mohan of Fall Creek five sisters, Elaine (Richard) Rolfs of Greenfield, Shirley (Edward) Berg of Muskego, Charlotte (William) Schaab of Menomonee Falls, Mary (Larry) Hellmich of Brookfield, and Joan (Louis) Young of Colby and 14 grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Marlene Cline and an infant brother and sister, Orville and Jean M.
