           Robert Olson

(23 Apr 1905 - 6 Apr 1930)

Mr. and Mrs. Oluf Olson received a telephone message Monday that their son Robert had died suddenly Sunday night at his home at Stockbridge, Wisconsin. He had been sick with Scarlet Fever, and apparently well on the way to recovery when heart failure set in, ending suddenly in death.

Robert was born in the town of Hull, Marathon County, April 23, 1905. He came with his parents, when they moved to Neillsville in 1914, entering school here and graduating from high school in the class of 1923. He was an industrious student and took part also in various outside class activities. During vacations he was always anxious and willing to work and gave the best of satisfaction wherever he was employed. Bob, as he was called, was loved by all who knew him for his many fine qualities. After graduating he worked for a time in Brauer's Clothing Store and then took up electrical work, being employed for some time by the Western Electric Company of Chicago. Later he went to Stockbridge, Wis., where he took up cheesemaking and was since employed in a cheese factory there. Last October he was married to Miss Marie Tilling, who survives him.

The funeral was held at Stockbridge Tuesday afternoon. Owing to the contagiousness of Scarlet Fever the funeral was private. His parents and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Holt and Mrs. Ewald Schwarze drove to Stockbridge to attend the funeral.
Besides his wife and parents he leaves eight brothers and sisters: Gilbert, attending the State University Barbara, librarian in South Milwaukee Mrs. Ellen Johnson at home Sarah, Mrs. Ewald Schwarze of Greenwood Fern, Mrs. Albert Holt of Neillsville Kenneth, Mildred and Oluf at home in Neillsville.
