OBITUARY OF MRS. W. H. PALMS

The passing of Mrs. W. H. PALMS occurred at the home in Atascadero, Calif., Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 30, 1929, following an illness of several months duration.

Nellie Irene BOOTH was born at Rochester, Minn., Sept. 1, 1864. She was united in marriage to William H. PALMS of Augusta, Wis., Sept. 1, 1887. To this union two children were born, Harry B. PALMS now of Owen, Wis., and Wayne HASELDEN who passed away May 26, 1897.

Mrs. PALMS came with her husband to Greenwood, Wisconsin to the home now owned and occupied by Wm. NEUENFELDT, residing there until 1916.

Mrs. PALMS was active in the social life of our little city all those years. She was a charter member of the O. E. S., serving two terms as matron, likewise a charter member of the Beaver in which she took great interest and is remembered as on of the organizers of the original Cemetery Ass.'n. She exhibited marked artistic ability and many of her Greenwood friends have in their homes oil paintings or pieces of china which are her work.

While most of her closest friends are now scattered, the remaining few learned of her prolonged illness and final passing with real sorrow. They moved to Long Beach, Calif., where private services were held at Crematory Chappel conducted by Rev. Henrietta G. MOORE of Pasadena, Calif., a dear and intimate friend who paid a high tribute of respect to the departed. The floral pieces were many and beautiful.
She leaves not to mourn but to carry out her unfinished work, her husband, William H. PALMS, Harry B. PALMS and wife, Mrs. Alta B. HARSTON and children.

After cremation and at her request her ashes will be scattered over the beautiful hills of Atascadero and along the sands of the sea where she in life loved to roam.
